The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission oversees three industries: utilities, telecommunications, and motor carriers. “The Sun Never Sets on the PRC" reflects its outsized influence the lives and the livelihoods of every New Mexican.

The first speaker, Marial Nanasi, is Executive Director and President of New Energy Economy, where she leads its legal interventions before the PRC and the NM Supreme Court. She brings that legal perspective to the opening presentation. In the second part of the program, State Representative Angelica Rubio, who sits on the House Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Committee will moderate a forum of candidates for the PRC District 5 seat. The two participating candidates are incumbent Sandy Jones and former State Senator Steve Fischmann.
