NEW MEXICO NUKES: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!

Public Talk

Apr 16, 2018 5:30 PM - Apr 16, 2018 7:30 PM MDT
Santa Fe Public Library Community Room
145 Washington Avenue, Santa Fe, NM, USA

Nuclear Watch staff will present on expanded production of plutonium cores for nuclear weapons at the Los Alamos Lab. Don Hancock of the Southwest Research and Information Center will present on so-called "interim" storage of the country's lethal high-level radioactive wastes in southern New Mexico.

Both issues are undergoing required public review, which Nuclear Watch strongly urges interested citizens to engage in. Tips on writing and submitting formal comments and pressuring our politicians will be discussed.

Come help the Land of Enchantment avoid these nuclear threats! Cleanup and renewable energy would create far more jobs than nuclear weapons production and high-level radioactive waste storage. Don't let our state become the nuclear sacrifice zone for the rest of the country!
